With Kristine Malpica, Every Friday 9-10am at the Newburyport Senior Center. Open to all ages and abilities, drums provided, by donation.
African Drum Classes with master Senegalese drummer Mamadou Diop- Sundays, 6-7pm at the Dance Place, Tannery, Water St. Newburypor. These classes offer song and traditional African rhythms in a joyful, supportive learning community on a drop in basis, $15/class.
Imagine’s monthly community open mic night resumes September 28!
Last Fridays monthly, 7pm (except July and August). Musicians and poets of all ages, genres and abilities are welcome! Refreshments provided by “People’s Café” $5 suggested donation.
Friday September 21st, 6:30-8:30 pm: Join us for an equinox harvest community drum circles held outdoors at the beautiful IFarm Boxford, a unique setting within a restored historic landscape and permaculture farm.
We will gather around the fire and share in the ancient practice of group rhythm making and song. Feel free to bring drums and percussion instruments or play those provided. All ages and experiences are welcome!

These low cost drum classes offer spiritual song, African rhythms in a joyful, supportive learning community. These classes are offered on a drop in basis for $15/class including drums.
